Here you will find a number of classic cars that i have taken pictures of at various shows.

The cars featured on this page have all been at this years classic car show in Kirton.

1982 Ford Cortina 1.6 (MK5)

Production of the MK5 Ford Cortina started in 1979, basically it was a face-lifted version of the MK4. There were many improvements including:

Wrap around front indicators, deeper front spoiler, new more comfortable seats, wrap around tail lamp clusters, increased glass area, and an improved heating and ventilation system, there are more which I may add at some time on a different page.

The 1593cc Pinto engine fitted in this car produced 92.5 bhp, which gave it a 0-60 time of 13.6 seconds.

Mk4/5 Cortinas all shared the same floor plan, and suspention of the MK3 Cortina, but the 'Coke Bottle' styling was replace by a more conservative, and squarer design. Production of the MK5 ended in 1982, to be replaced by the Ford Sierra.

Rover 110

I think this is a Rover 110, i'm not sure their were a variety of Rover P4's including a 75, and a 100.

The Rover 110 followed on from the success of the 100. The Rover 110 was fitted with a 123bhp version of the 2625cc six cylinder engine that was fitted in the 100. This engine propelled the car to a top spead of 100mph, and did 0-60 in 17.9 seconds.

Production of the P4 ceased in 1964 after a run of 15 years. The Rover 110 production spanned from 1962 to 1964.

1983/84 Rover 3500SE (SD1)

The Rover SD1, with its mould breaking design, was lauched in 1976, and carried on production to 1986.

This car came in both 4 door saloon, and 5 door hatchback models.

The engine used in this car was the 3528cc engine which was carried on from the P6B (B standing for Buick becasue the engine came from a 1969 Buick Special, Rover then bought the licence to make the engine, Buick didnt care about producing the engine as it was small to american standards at the time.)

The 3.5 V8 mated to a five speed gearbox gave the car a top speed of 127 mph, and a 0-60 time of 9.8 seconds.
